Abram's Birthday

We celebrated Abram's birthday today.  It was a beautiful, sunny and hot day.  First on the order of business was getting out the sprinkler.

Next, test the water.

Even Stella got in on the fun.

Then on to presents.  You can see how excited Josh is to bring more toys into our house.

Why play with one toy when you can try out two at a time.

 I guess the yard was collateral damage.

You know you're beat when...

On the eve of Abram's 3rd birthday:

I was putting our adorable little guy to bed.  He is really into being told 'stories' as opposed to reading books.  So I had just told Abram 3 stories about his favorite topic, "Abram and Stella who live in a castle surrounded by lots of other castles."  I was tired and ready for him to go to sleep.  After the 3 stories he begged for one book.  I reluctantly agreed on the condition that he promised that he would be satisfied with just ONE book. He promised.  I asked him what book he would like me to read.  Straight faced he said, "The Bible."  Abram - 1,546:  Mama - 0.

Mother's Day

I thought I would fill the post on Mother's Day with beautiful pictures of my babies.

Stella was so hungry for the orange she didn't wait until we got home to start eating through the peel.

We live within walking distance to the zoo - Abram has made friends with all the animals - even the stone ones.

I'm lucky to have such wonderful men in my life!

As you can tell, Stella and Abram were more interested in their breakfast than in taking a picture.

This is literally the best picture we could get out of them today.  It pretty much sums up our day to day life.

We were lucky we were able to celebrate with Nana before she leaves for Omaha next week.

Stella can't wait to get her license.  Abram said he's going to drive once he turns 3.
